I'm thinking about getting a set of chrome Cobra wheels for my car, with some new brakes and red calipers to go with them, but I am worried about winter driving. I drive this car every day year round. Here in Oregon they don't salt the roads, but they do spread out this thick sand that is almost like fine gravel for traction when it freezes. Will my wheels get all scratched up from this stuff? If I bought the chrome wheels, I would leave them on through the winter. Assuming I keep them clean regularly, do you think they will end up all scratched up? Has anyone driven with chrome wheels year round?
