Simple question im looking into putting the Trickflow street heat top end kit on a 94 GT. I know the stock strut tower brace has to come off. However i heard that the trick flow mani doesnt allow enough room with the stock hood for a replacement strut brace. Is this a true fact or is there room for one, and which one would that be. Also the kit doesnt come with lifters anyone with this kit have a suggestion one a good set?

Mine fits fine with the MM strut brace. I do get some minor contact between a small part of the hood and the upper intake, enough to mar the paint on the intake , but nothing significant. At some point I will grind that back and repaint the intake.

Lifters are lifters as far as I'm concerned (as long as they are the roller type). I'd get a set from SummitRacing.

BBK strut tower brace should clear. i just got that one, i don't have a trick flow intake but i can't see how that would matter that much.

If you keep the 94-95 setup yes. I'll be getting an elbow for mine. The TF elbow is bigger/flows more air than many of the others as well.

I thought you had to run the spacer if you ran the elbow... EGR or not.
I no longer have the EGR, but I thought the spacer was needed to clear the new valve covers.

Paul, when I installed the HCI I didn't have a spacer and when we tightened down the upper intake the bottom of the egr hit the vc and punctured it..............It cleared the elbow .............but you may want to check with others.....

Well heck. I may wait on the spacer. It would sure help with hood clearance if I didn't need it. Not to mention $$$$.

It'll be a couple of months before I will know for sure. But I'll post it up when I find out. Unless someone else chimes in.
