Clunks through the shifts

As i accelerate and shift it seems like my rear end clunks (like a rough engagement), it only does this through the shifts as i completely let off the clutch. wtf? also, the t-lock seems to lock up when i get on it in a straight line (car gets sideways) but wont lock up if i try to punch it in a sharp corner (it'll just spin the inside tire). I have 3.73s, stock d/s. I've searched and so far i've found possible culprits to be U-joints.. any thoughts

Sounds like you may have ripped a torque box..or maybe both...look careful at BOTH torque boxes as they can be ripped/cracked and still be VERY hard to see.

if that is the case.. what needs to be done? rewelded?
