I am trying to set up a T5 trans with a hydraulic system. I do not think I am getting enough travel. Does anyone know how much the stock cable travels when the pedal is completely depressed?

Do you need to know cable movement or TOB movement (in case there is a difference in in 'fork' ratios, etc)?

To clarify a bit more... I am installing a 302 w/ a T5 in a Triumph TR6. I am trying to use the original TR6 master cylinder, however it is only giving the slave cylinder 3/4" of travel...which is not enough to realease the clutch. I will have to resize the master or the slave to get more travel. But I do not know how much more I need. I am using the stock mustang ('90) clutch fork. I thought the cable measurement would be the easiest to get, but I would take anything at this point, as long as I know where the measurements were taken.

Any help would be greatly appreciate.

Thanks
Mike

If you want comparisons, try the classic forum. A bunch of those guys are using hydraulic conversion kits w/t-5's and would have a good idea of how things are supposed to be.

interesting thread and project. Although I've got no experience with hydraulic clutches, I'd say the stock clutch fork on a 5.0 mustang moves several inches.

If you want, I could crawl under my 86 tomorrow and stick a tape measure up to it while someone depresses the pedal. 3/4 def is not enough.
