i need a new clutch... bad. please send me in the right direction. i need drivability becuz this cars my daily driver. i only have 3.73s intake chip and off-road h-pipe but i have bigger plans in the future. i wud like a clutch that will hold a good bit of torque but not blow out the tranny. my dad has a 20 year old zoom clutch in his 71 roadrunner pressin 5-600 horses. please give me feedback so many to choose lol

A stock clutch will hold enough power to blow the trans, I've done it. I've been really satisfied with my FRPP King Cobra clutch. Great pedal feel, great street manners, and it holds up to the mods in my sig with no issues.

Both replies above are top notch.

You dont note what you have planned in the future. Your common sense will have to help the clutch remain the fuse in the driveline (for the reason Matt noted).

That said, the KC or a CF DF would perform nicely (DD) and hold some good power.

Good luck.

It holds 30% more power, which technically can hurt the transmission a little more, but it is a great bang for the buck clutch.

Comparitive clutches for the King Cobra are the Centerforce Stage I (Gold Class - 30%), and Centerforce Stage II (60%).

The Centerforce has the lightest pedal between the two.

The King Cobra is built very close to OEM quality, from what I have seen and had.

Either of the above clutches will not slip with your power right now...
