cobra brake pad change??

i upgraded the front brakes on my 02 gt with a cobra set. the kit came with ford pads that really sux so i both a set of hawk pads form am . my ? is the ford pads have a rubber insolator on the clips that rest on the caliaper mount but the hawk pads do not are they needed do i have tp swich them ova ?

Yes you have to switch them over.
