It's not an SN95 upper with the curved neck is it?

No curve, looks just like the red intake above at the EGR spot, straight line instead of a flat spot for a sticker. I'll try and get a #'s pic.

So will a 70 mm fit without porting the neck? And which would y'all get?

Yes, but the opening is 65MM, so I would put the 70MM gasket on the intake and open it up. If you aready have the 65MM, just use that as the 70MM will give a minimal increase in hp.

Cool, so leave and 65mm or light port and 70mm. If I add the tfs 170s and a mild cam. Which would you do? I plan to just add shorties to the new heads.

Main thing is more and stronger pull for street. I'm thinking do a full ring and ARP bolts and new bearings cause of age. But will decide on that when I open it up.

That is interesting. I saw that because the later kit models use the f3 intake for the most part. The f5 intake suggest ford made a change that would replace the f3 manifold.

Makes no sense, but I've seen Ford do weirder stuff

Possible

I do know there are differences in the GT-40 lowers. The f5 one is rumored to have the largest port diameters in untouched form
