Cobra Intake, WTF?

So, I was just glancing throught some old magazines and noticed that the old summit ads used to list the 93 Cobra intake as supporting "up to 400 hp". Now, it claims it's only good to 350 hp.

Now, I'm aware that these new "replica" intakes are cast off shore somewhere, but they are exactly the same as far as port size and such. So how would the new ones support less HP than the old ones.

Maybe they realized they weren't as good as they once thought they were.

Everything I've seen...Cobra's rated at 350; and FWIW GT-40 rated at 325.

These days ......

Most peeps think in rwhp as opposed to fwhp

IDK

Maybe they wanted to kinda catch up with the times
and not make it seem so inflated
