wait a minute... ford built this as a race car without a vin or somebody took it off? i'd think that would be something worthwhile to keep wouldn't you... even if you did take it off- i wouldn't bid on it, the guy probably stole it
if its not a true R then they did a good job getting hard to get parts... Air intake tubing not identical to 94-95, The fluid resivour whatever its for right next to the intake are cars don't have, I'm not trying to say its real but alot of parts on it i've noticed are hard to get... Even sent a picture of the 5.8L upper intake showing the 5.8L upper... Whoever owned it originally spent the dime to make a clone. thats my 2 cents.
The resivour i'm talking about is the high point for the coolant...
he probably got a motor out of a crashed cobra R, if it was real he would have no problem giving out the vin an proving it was real. he pretty much told me there never was a vin for it when there has to be, no car came out of the ford factory without a vin
Edit: Cobra Rs did come with VINs and they were street legal. They were rated at 300hp, but can easily make that much at the wheels with simple modifications that anyone would make to a race car. IE: exhaust, smog pump removal, high flow filter.
lol....yeah the Black Mamba should be out now...with Red and Silver (not yet confirmed but thats the color that people think its gonna be) to follow next year...
a Local shope had a white Mamba in while they were installing a BTR nitrous/propane kit(200shot!! ) amd i went down and got to look around....amazing automobile...
alright i went back and looked again.
Here is what the first post said...as far as i can remember.
Did anyone see the three '00 Cobra R's on ebay?
In the second link the guy has two of them. The one up for bid only has 370 miles on it! I'd love to know what the reserve is set at for these.
