Trying to track down the culprit for these codes!! Any help is appreciated...
Engine Off Test: 34, 67
Engine On Test: 41, 91, 34
I would imagine that this has something to do with the EGR/EVP system (34) and it is probably making the car lean (41&91), right?
Since I get code 34 when the engine is off or on, then I can probably assume it is not a vacuum leak? Or is this a bad assumption because the only reason lean would show up with the engine on is if extra air got into the system? I looked at all the vacuum lines last weekend when I swapped the intake and they all looked good.
I did have the EGR out last weekend and I verified that the vacuum diaphram lifts the pintel and doesn't leak. I looked at the pintel and it looked black from exhaust carbon but there was no build up that made me think it was sticking open.
Any ideas of what to check next? I was thinking hooking the vacuum gauge in line with the EGR vacuum line to verify it has no vacuum at idle and jumps to 2-5 vacuum when you blip the throttle.
I did get a intake lean backfire after the intake swap so I need to fix these codes before I can tune it up.
