Hello,
I was just wondering about a coil to go with my msd 6al ignition box...From what i can see there are two different types...a tfi stock looking type and a canister type...Which kind should i use??...(I don't really like the idea of hearing a buzzing noise from the tfi unit though)...This iginition will be used to fire a 408 N/A carbed motor if this helps...what does everyone think??thanx...

Unless you were having trouble with your stocker... you should stick with the original and your MSD box.

Once your stocker goes, then you can replace it.

EMI should be able to be eliminated with a better ground on the coil.

Edit: I would like to add... My stock coil did die and I bought a Crane PS91. Pluged right into the stock harness. It does give off EMI, but I am too lazy to ground the thing. Maybe tonight when I pull codes to find out that my EGR is sticking...

I have the MSD blaster TFI coil. no probelms.
i have also ran the accell version too, no problems there either.
the canister style isnt a direct replacement, so i woiuld stick with the tfi style for now.
