I'm looking for a way to get some cooler air into my carb in my 85 GT. Would be nice if it were some type of Ram Air setup. I have very limited hood clearance and intend to stay with the stock hood. I am currently using a 14" Ford Racing open air cleaner with K&N filter and I feel the carb needs more air. Does anyone know of a company that makes a cold air setup for a carb'd car? Or, has anyone come up with some unique way of getting more air into the carb?

Um....the stock 85 5.0L dual snorkel setup is about the best ram air setup you can get.

Won't clear the hood. Won't clear the larger valve covers needed for the roller rockers.

Yeah I had to change mine for the same valve cover reason. Mine would still clear the hood though. Question, how did you fit a 14" air cleaner with the big distributor, I could only fit a 13" drop base.

you can get a carb hat from K&N then get some black tubing from your parts store and make one of your own, I have an 85 Mustang with a 5" cowl induction hood and love it.
