I keep having a lot of trouble figuring out what kind of engine setup I want to run and every time it seems like I'm going to be able to do something I either have to pay a bunch of money out on unexpected breakage, tickets, girls etc. and I figured I'd have a very nice H/C/I setup by now or a turbo/supercharger system one.

Anyways, come January I should be able to get a decent loan seeing as I'll be eighteen on new years eve.

I want to be able to pull an 05 GT, but not go overly wild on the combo. I'm looking at the Holley Systemax heads because of they have enough peak flow to get me where I need, but the best low lift numbers of all the street heads. But money is a concern and I can either go with 24lbs injectors, maf swap, TFS street intake and a cam to pull to around 5800rpm or I was looking at getting a Weiand action plus dual plane intake manifold with a 600cfm Holley with a 5800rpm cam. Would that make decent power. I'm worried about top end and low end. Haven't really looked at carb 302 combos.

I had those heads on my 351w and i loved em. They made great power. Going with them you will not regret it. That being said when i bought mine comparible heads or even better heads were cheaper. Becareful of the cost of them due to the fact you are paying for the holley name. It would be cheaper to go carb'd kinda. You have to factor in new fuel pump or at least regulators to feed the carb due to the psi difference in carb and fuel injection. If i was you i would go and buy the holley kit for fuel injection or a trick flow kit for fuel injection. there heads intake and cam.

I can get the heads for around $1200. They made the most lowend of all the heads tested in the mm&ff sbf head comparison and this was with a static compression ratio of 8.7:1 compared to the AFRs 9.5:1 I believe. It may have been higher than that. But anyways, Jegs has the another kit for a 302 that comes with that intake manifold I mentioned, a Lunati Voodoo cam with a 5800rpm powerband(just what I was looking for), a 600cfm Holley and a Holley air cleaner for a little over $700.

Now I need to know what I need to convert to carburetion other than what's mentioned?

It's going to cost me $80 to have my block bored .030 over. Could I make up the difference in lowend due to carburetion over fuel injection by putting in a set of pistons to give me 10:1 compression?

If not I can get a stroker kit from Eagle for $1200. It'll run me almost $100 more for boring. How much will balancing run me? Also what else will I need to have done?

I want at least 300hp by 6000rpm and I want a ****load of torque.
