so ive been searching everywhere for the last couple hours trying to figure out the 2.3L con rod length. Journal diam, pin diam, and big end thickness.....figured someone here should know. Anyone?
There's plenty of off-the-shelf rods in various lengths and journal diameters to accomplish that goal as well as pistons to suit just about anything. You can thank the mini-stock crowd for parts availability. All of the pistons are flat-tops with small reliefs so if it's a turbo app you're working with, tuning may become an issue.
Check Manley, Wiseco, Crower, Diamond Racing, JE Pistons, and Venolia Pistons for different piston and rod configurations.
The last incarnation of the Lima OHC was a 2.5L motor. It was based on the later model small main journal crank/block, but the stock rods and pistons should swap over as the bore and rod journal diameter remained the same as all other 2.3s
