Now that spring is here, I blew the dust off the 1990 7up car and the convertible pump has craped out.

Laural Mountain has them for about $160. Anybody know of a cheaper source?

Find a used unit. Ford used the same pump from 1965-1993 in convertible Mustangs. When the pump went in my 93 I swapped the spare I have for my 65 in. Works like a champ.

Also, verify that the lines to your lift cylinders aren't broken and/or leaking. Those plastic lines get brittle and split or snap off after awhile. You can buy a new set of lines from 50resto for like $35 ... or you can be ghetto like me and just use fuel line with fuel injection hose clamps.

The pump has been going out for awhile. About two years ago, it did not have the balls to lift the top, so I used power steering fluid vs the ATF made the top work but now the motor is fried. I can hear the relay click and nothing else. I applied 12volts directly to the pump motor and the power supply spiked @ 20 amps, so I am pretty sure the pump is done.
