top of the evening to you, gents

as many know, i was having some troubles w/ cooling, recently. i think i've finally managed to get it all squared away w/ a new Mr. Gasket heavy-duty/race thermostat (and new head/intake gaskets ) and was wondering:

can someone w/ both a stock and aftermarket coolant temp guage tell me where 180-190 is on the stock guage?

the needle likes to rest around the N in "NORMAL", and i don't know if that's too cold or not, hence this thread.

thanks

Mine is usually like right between the N and the O, sometimes on the O, and thats right at 210 on my aftermarket gauge.

I'm sorry to say Paul that I have the feeling that it might vary a bit from car to car. Next time I'm out, I will try to let you know where mine is, just for the sake of doing so.

Good luck bud.

Mine normally sits just past the N but not quite to O.
When the temp outside gets to 90* or above it will goto the R with the A/C blowing.

mine used to be around the N and the O....which equaled around 195 on my car.

Good to hear everything is going well for you (hopefully)

take care

thanks, guys. yeah, hopefully things'll stay running well like they have been the past week.

maybe now i can finally spend money on goodies (injectors, brakes, supporting engine mods, guages, etc)!

keep 'em coming, i wouldn't mind some extra assurance.
