I want to order Coolflex's Chrome Rad hose for my engine bay. I was just on the Coolflex site and they list the lengths of the hose as 24" and 36" pieces. What size do I need for a 2000 Mustang GT with a Vortech V2SQ blower? It also says that the Coolflex hose will be 2" shorter than the hose that it replaces.

Anyone who has already done this mod, please advise as to what length of rad hose that I should order. I suspect that I need the 24" piece, but I want to be sure as these things are pricey.

Thanks in advance guys.

The hose is approximately 30"... I would assume that you would need the 36" and route the extra hose to make fit.. Remember... The coolflex hose will be two inches shorter than our stock hose... So actually, we only need 28" of coolflex...

Scratch that last post... the 24" will fit PERFECTLY... I just confirmed it with my mechanic... He's installed many and is going to install mine now that I have ordered it! These look really nice...

Why would you spend that much for a Radiator hose? I picked up similar hose on ebay 36" kit that came with 4 hose ends for under $50 on ebay. It's been on the car for 2 years no problems.

Your totally right... I was just on ebay and they are WAY cheaper.. I think I'll take your advice.. Has the chrome held up? No pitting, or corroding?

It's chrome plated stainless tubing. It still looks like the day I installed it. Here are picture of the tubing installed.

Thanks guys fir the input. Just a couple items for consideration, the Coolflex is triple plated show chrome which is one bonus. The other is that the end pieces are heavy duty, and to avoid the chance at blowing a hose and making a mess in my polished/chrome engine bay, the extra cash is worth it for me.

Thanks again guys...the unit pictured above looks nice, and I have seen the unit on Tim's bay (BLK2000GT) and it is gorgeous. Time to get it coming with the rest of the order.

Thanks.
