Ever since I have changed to aluminium heads, the temp on my car is always around the 210 to 220 mark, well yester day I dropped in to Seco and picked up this Thermostat switch.

Turns the fans on at 180* and cuts them off at 170* I must say that this is a must for anyone with a 96 up car that wants the car to run cooler with out having to get a chip burned to do it. The cost was $24.99. Here are some pics of teh install and of the part number card for those interested.

though quite a bit more exensive, the controllers at
www.dccontrol.com are very well liked. they are progressive units - no relays or switches, which is much easier on the charging system.

but for the money, SB, that is a nice upgrade. glad you likey :-)

That set up looks pretty nice. Just a little too much coin for me right now, that may come into play sometime in the future tho.

oh i hear ya bud. i know of two or three guys whom run those controllers and they are the types who are very hands on, but also wont stop till it is perfect. if i can toss some money at something and get it to halfway work, im happy; not so for these guys.
so i figure if it meets their seal of approval, it must be a nice unit. i guess the customer service there is top notch too.

if i even had an elec fan, it would have an SPDT relay or two, an adjustable controller and a manual switch for when the controller dies. LOL. im poor.

hey man i was having cooling problems and after replacing my water pump, they are gone. Cant get it above the o with a 180 theremostat. factory cooling fan settings. I replaced it a few weeks ago but this is the first real miles i have put on it.
