Well I was just wondering what it came out to be for you guys. Since I want to know if I am in the ballpark range of how much money I will need. The heads I am most likely going to be getting will be used edelbrock performers for around 800-900.

The other stuff ill need is:

Cam (either TFS1 or Crane 2031)
Fuel pump (255 lph)
Maf
Injectors (ill be using 30lb injectors since i will be running a 75 shot of nitrous and i can also get them for free)
Lifters
Rocker arms
Hardened push rods
Timing Chain
Throttle body
Headers
Head gaskets
Header gaskets
Intake gaskets
Fluids

Also a Tune

So am I leaving anything off this list of what is needed and just as I asked above, what were some of the dollars you shelled out?

don't forget new ARP bolts. i think they sell a kit.

it's all the little things that add up and bite you in the ass.

well to put it simple a lot!!

a cams like what 200
fuel pump 110
maf 230
Lifters 120
Rocker arms 300
Hardened push rods 50
Timing Chain 75
Throttle body 210
Headers lt= 400 for cc shorty=280
then you will need a mid pipe if your switching to long tubes 120 w/o cats , 340 w/ cats
probley want new valve covers 120
....so yeah it can really add up!!!

between gaskets fluids and bolts.... better be ready and you didn't mention which intake you wanted

so say you went with new valve covers and long tubes with matching catted h pipe w/ convertors because your in a emmision state your looking at $3055 then your tune $4055 then taxes and shipping...are you installing yourself???

if you go shorty and keeping your current h pipe you would be at $3595! so still wanna do it? your injectors saved you..and i would look for used stuff where ever you can to cut down prices!!!!!!!. if you get a new intake??? and a matching elbow theres even more

That is absolutely Ludicrous

I've seen inflated charges before
but
One Grand ... for a tune

Heck Fire ........... I could ............

buy all the NEW equipment I need to burn you a chip

charge you a good bit less

and STILL make a nice profit

Man O Man ... A profit is one thing ... That is a raping

You got something not right or left something out of that info Trav!

The HP one as hissin stated.

I had my stang tuned at PHP, I wasn't aware you were so close to where I live Trav. I paid almost exactly $1,000 when I went, if I remember correctly the rates were $425 to burn a chip and $150 per hour on the dyno, and I had them bracket up and touch up a couple of things dealing with my S/C.

the only thing i figure was the extra time to touch up a s/c but i couldn't see that taking 4 hours ?? i think php is charging to much

AFR 165's - $1350 shipped
FRPP F303cam - $200 shipped
GT-40 Intake (used) - $325 shipped
Harland Shape RR - $225 shipped
Total = $2100

This does not include all the other little things such as ARP bolts, pushrods, gaskets, fluids, throttle body, valve covers, intake spacer, etc...

FYI - My tune was $500 and that included a SCT 4-position chip.

geez, you should just buy my kb for $1750 and some 42# injectors, fuel pump, elbow, and gasgets and be done with it. you'll be back on the road in a couple of days at about $2500. i have a couple of tunes to choose from too.

compared to an h/c/i install, a k/b install is a walk in the park

also, if you are going to long tubes, i have some jet-hot coated mac long tubes i can't use anymore from my aborted 331. pm me if you are interested in them.

I have been neglecting this site since i have been playing halo 2 for some reason again, but I do already have an intake...I have the 94-95 Cobra...as for the maf can't i get one like ours (stock) now it will bolt up to my CAI or no? A lot of the parts I would plan on buying used too so I dont too too much, I was also thinking that it would come out to be around 1600 to 1700 before the tune. I still have a lot to think about and if I want to throw all this money into my car, right now I am going to try and see if I can settle with the 75 shot of nitrous but I need a longer supply hose since mine is too short somehow!!! and everything is already hooked up and working besides the frigin hose. The other day I actually saw a set of GT40Xs I believe go for $575 on ebay, so i will be looking for all sorts of deals.

But thats for your input guys, if anyone else has anything dont be afraid to chime in...the more help the better.
