Couple of questions reguarding heads and intake swap...

Well heres the deal guys, in the next month or so Im going to be buying Edelbrock Performer heads and a Performer intake while keeping the stock cam. As soon as I have the funds, a HP Performance Stage 1 turbo kit will be put on.

Now I have a couple questions...

1. Will the stock injectors and fuel pump be able to support the engine with the new top end parts? Only reason I ask is Id hate to have to buy 24s only to have to sell them 6 months later when the turbo kit arrives with 42s. (Im guessing the fuel pump wont, just wondering since the turbo kit comes with one) If I have to get a 255 pump it wont be a problem.

2.Will it be OK to use the stock TB and MAF with the new heads and intake? Once the turbo goes on the plan is for a PRO M Univer Driver and a 70mm BBK TB.

3. I know its a broad question, but how much rwhp could I expect with the heads, intake, LTs, offroad X, catback, intake, and pullies? 270?

Thanks a lot.

5.0 Mustang had a similar set up many years ago, Edelbrock parts, bolt-ons and stock cam, I'm pretty sure they made 270-280rwhp, I'll look up the article tonight.

If you get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, you could probably crank up the psi enough so that the 19lb injectors would work. But I'm not sure what the limit would be.

I dont run Eddy H/I, but i do have comparable stuff....mine F/P was set at 38 on the dyno...The air ratio was where it should be....i was running 19lbs with the Steeda 19 cam and a Kirban...you should be right in that ballpark with that H/I, you wont be hurting it any..I even opted to stay with 19s...My AFR says things are cool..I figured why throw money at it if i dont need em...Plus i have no tuning aids...Just the good ole stock EEC...
