I need a new hood after smashing the front of my GT and was thinking of the Cervini's 95 style Cobra R cowl hood. It has a max rise of 3.5 inches. But then I thought about rain getting in because of the opening in the back. It rains a good amount in Philly so would the rain get inside the engine bay with a cowl.

I'm stationed in the UK, and it rains just as much as WA state did when I lived there. I have 0 issues with my cowl.

I had a 3 inch Cowl hood on my '93 GT for years. Never had any issue with rain getting into the engine bay.

I had this concern with my Steeda Q400, but you'll be fine.

I have the exact hood you're thinking of buying, and I haven't had any issues. The vents at the back are covered by an overhang, so water can't just fall right in. Enjoy it; I love mine!
