It isn’t Craigslist, but it is a Dallas auction scheduled for June 22. This is the whole car, but it has no title, key and parts of the transmission are in the front seat.

I was going to bid on that one, but it passed my budget by last night.

I had Googled the VIN on it and found some interesting history on it that I'd need to see the buck tag to verify.

The short version is, it's almost certainly a Cobra II, and quite possibly a King Cobra.

I hear ya. I had an itch all day too. If I was looking for something to start a project with, this would have worked. Alas, Im saving my pennies for heads. It sold for $650, which means including tax and probably buyers premium, it might be closer to $800. Plus towing, rental or whatever, another $150 or so. Either way, someone got a starter project for $1000-ish. It had cobra wheels and the tail bits, but I didn't see any remnants of decals.

No decals, but it had previously been listed on Ebay as a King Cobra, and was in a more complete state at that time.

My brother in law shared this with me yesterday. Only one pic and no description. Part of me wants to go take a look, but the other part of me says I have way too many irons in the fire.

@74stang2togo I'm tagging you since you've eluded to looking for another body for the right price

That looks worse than ElSuperPinto... by a lot.

It does by the only pic that they shared. It's hard telling what kind of shape it's really in unless someone really looked it over.
And it is in Iowa, so it had to have been exposed to road salt. I wouldn't doubt that it's in bad shape underneath - kinda like a certain black and gold Cobra that I'm familiar with.....

For a moment I thought El super pinto was for sale.

For a moment I thought El super pinto was for sale.
That's not ElSuperPinto.

ElSuperPinto, however, is for sale. I get 2-3 door knockers a year making offers, the one that makes one I like can have the keys, title, spare parts, and hell, for shiggles I'll throw in a full tank of gas.

For that matter, the 4Runner is for sale as well, I turned down an offer on it four months ago. First person with $10,000 cash can have it, the running boards I took off, and I'll give them a full tank of gas too.

I don't give a damn about cars anymore, I've been working on them too long; and as I've said before, after parting out my grandpa's old truck and selling the 2010 Mustang GT I'd waited on for a year all of a year after I got it, I don't get attached to them anymore.
