Against my better judgment, I'm going to go look at it on Saturday. He says $1000 is pretty firm....

Maybe.... dunno yet. It's not replacing the Cobra.

But I kinda miss the 84 I had. I put a lot of work in that car when I had it. I mean it went from straight out of a field like this when I bought it:

To replacing the left front frame rail:

and swapping in a 5.0 HO from a Lincoln Mark VII with an Explorer GT40 intake in place of the 3.8:

To this before I sold it:

Lots of time and energy displayed here. Oh, and that Boss9 was SA-WEET!!!!!

Quick update on that 83 vert. The seller and I have had a conversation going for the better part of the day. It's a 3.8 car originally, he already came down to $900, BUT - he doesn't have a title. He says his brother had the car before him and intended to get it running but lost interest. He says he doesn't have the time to mess with it and he could use the money, so he put it up for sale. Now here in Georgia a title is optional for cars from 63-85, but I'll have to really do some research if I do decide to buy it. Apparently the state won't issue a title to a buyer if the title trail is broken. So if it's been registered to someone who didn't have the title, then they sold it and that person registered it, it sounds like it's damned near impossible for me to get one. So I dunno..... I may pass on it even though I'm sure I could talk him down lower than what he's already dropped it to. I'm just not interested in dealing with a legal headache.

Right?! I was thinking the same. It kinda makes that one in Texas seem like he's sane.
But maybe the guy here downed that whole bottle of Cuervo when he posted it and forgot it's listed. I mean I know no one had to respond to it, especially at that price! I'm kinda shocked he didn't preface his ad with "no low ballers - I know what I've got."

The best part is, I'm looking at the pics thinking "I'm gonna have the send @LILCBRA the money for that one and come get it my next weekend off" until I saw the price... then it switched to "WTF IS THAT GUY SMOKING???"

Never realized Fords come with positraction. And is it just me, but I hate when people explain parts in their build with "stage 2" unless it's an actual part name. I mean what exactly is a stage 2 cam? Is it a Trick Flow cam or is it just some off the shelf cam that's larger than stock? And if so, what are the specs? And if it's a "nice engine tune" but still has "more hidden horsepower" is it really a nice tune? Or is he referring to the sound of the exhaust and hasn't bothered to tune the engine?

I can keep going on his ad, but the positives (potentially....): It's an Arizona car, so probably not all rusted to hell. It's already been V8 swapped, so hopefully the parts needed are already there. But is it really worth $5k? I don't think it is.....

Between the Mad Max bumper (with an Explorer's "5.0L V8" intake plate attached, no less), the glasspacks that just hang there under the doors and the mound of what looks like Bondo in front of the air cleaner sticking up through the hood...

That poor car.

Here's a II in SC. It looks familiar but the ad is only a couple days old.

Facebook

www.facebook.com

Selling my friends 76 cobra 4 speed manual mustang. 3k obo, I had over 150 people contact me the first night with no price attached so I looked it up and in fair condition they sell for 3k. Body wise it’s what she is. Ran and drove as of ten years ago when it parked there. Owner was goin to paint it but didn’t get get time to do it. The interior need an entire overhaul. Windshield also needs to be replace. He was going to sell the motor and trans then scrap the car. I’m looking to see if some one want some the entire thing first. Call or text joe [hidden information]

Personally, I think they're asking about 3 times more than it's worth. But it does look complete.
