http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/5967141210.html Not a lot on details...

http://dallas.craigslist.org/ndf/bar/5965233904.html Overpriced wreck.

http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/pts/5939343915.html parts

http://austin.craigslist.org/wto/5918546714.html Factory mag wheels

http://sanantonio.craigslist.org/cto/5963999038.html I'd say it's an overpriced 4-banger car, but low mileage survivors like this one have been going for more on Barrett Jackson. A new carpet and a solid detailing, and this might be an investment.

http://dallas.craigslist.org/ndf/pts/5967363326.html Grille for a nice price (I've sold several for more on Ebay)

http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/pts/5972007831.html '74 Grille for a nice price.

http://dallas.craigslist.org/ftw/wto/5986528292.html Vintage metric wheels (where in the hell would you find tires though?)

A bit rough for that price. I would expect it to run flawlessly if it looks like that.

My dad had a '77 almost identical to this. Same color, same wheels. It got banged up in a snowstorm and he ultimately traded it up for a '77 Cobra.

I had thoughts of building one of those out of my '76 after I discovered the frame damage I'd missed when I bought it, but there are already 7 other vehicles and three trailers here and I got tired of storing that one at a friend's house, so I parted it.

Here's a '75 Ghia for sale in my area...has a 347 stroker in it, the Shelby-esque wheels from an S197 V6, and probably just needs a little polishing overall.

So I'm just wasting time here at work, check out Craigslist and look at what I found!! I think the seller might be overstating the rarity of the King a bit, but hella nice regardless judging from the pics!

https://atlanta.craigslist.org/eat/cto/d/1978-mustang-king-cobra-for/6291722102.html

"I have a super rare 1978 Mustang II King Cobra. Restored within the last 10 years. Decals newer and look great. Transmission shifts smoothly. Car starts right up and has performance cam. The 302 is powerful with its upgrades and sounds mean. Interior is perfect from seats to headliner. No rust on floorboards. Brand new hard to find 13" white letter tires. Rims are redone. Car has A/C but needs new compressor. This is a level 2 car or an 8.5 on a scale of 1-10. If you know there are only 2100 cars ever made with this King cobra combo you know how rare it is. Trade for Corvette, Fox body Mustang, El Camino, Street Rod or other cool hot rods."

https://killeen.craigslist.org/cto/d/1976-ford-pinto/6292165477.html (Holy crap! A running/driving Pinto! Would make a great parts car for a II if you didn't want it for what it is, and then could sell the body for about what you paid for the whole car to some dirt-track or drag racer.)

https://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/d/1978-mustang-mach-ii-top-and/6289698248.html Mach1 and coupe in a package deal... not bad if someone wanted a project V8 Mach.

Here's one up in NJ for $3000. Yes, you read that correctly...3K. Has all the trimmings of a Cobra II but "has been sitting for a few years" and in one of the pictures there are vice grips for a window crank.

This KC is still up for grabs in York, PA...I posted it earlier and it's still around apparently. There's a price listed now though...$11,500. It's in pretty decent shape but at the very least the decals need freshening up.

I was thinking the same. Been watching the CLs around the south. Glad you shared that first post. I thought I was going crazy.
