Just want to know how many people have had good experiences running this cam in a street car that sees limited 1/4 mile action.

I'll potentially be running this cam with 1.90/1.60 eddy rpm heads, 1.6 ratio roller rockers, the regular eddy performer intake, 24 lb. injectors, bigger maf & tb, 1 5/8 longtube headers through a 5-speed with 3.73's out back.

I know it's an older cam design, but I've seen a couple set-ups similar to what I plan with the edelbrock heads, etc. that were running pretty easy mid 12's (with 1.8/1.9 60 ft. times).

Just hoping that it will not be too bad of a cam on the street.

I run the 2030 with Edelbrock Heads with 2.02/1.6 valves and it works great on the street. I went with it because it has an EO # for CA emissions legal. You'll have to check the piston to valve clearance.

Cool. Are you pretty happy with performance below 3000 rpm, or is it pretty soggy? I'm assuming you have a 5-speed...........

NKau,

AOD, 2500 Stall 9.5" converter and 373s. I've ran it NA and now 8psi Boost with a KB Blowzilla. Never bogged in either case with a nice flat torque curve. It runs about 10" vacuum at idle (676 RPM) in drive and 12" vacuum in neutral at idle.

NKau,

Yeah, no problem. Just wish the tires didn't spin so easy, well I've only got 275/40R17 Nitto 555R drag radials :-) That cam really pulls from 2K to 5.5K. Idle is slightly loopy but idles good at 672 RPM with lots of Tweecer tuning.

Good Luck, Don
