Just curious off the wall, my dad is looking into this 94 / 95 i cant remember which year but i know its 5.0 towards the end of years.

Wondering what can be expected performance wise from a 94/95 5.0 w/ a Automatic w/ 3:73 gears, exhaust, intake, small minor bolt-on's like that.

Thanks guys.

Or a 14.5 with some weight reduction and a 2.3 60 ft

It's worth mentioning that an aftermarket convertor will really add to that combo and make that autotragic perform like a different animal.

what if you add drag radials to the mix w/ stock TC?

I'm sure my dad would evenually change the TC. But it's nice to get an idea where these type of cars are at.

i honestly dont think drag radials would help a stock TC cause i remember when i had 3.73s + automatic just punching it from first gear i didnt even spin except on crap roads, then again i had a vert which is a bit heavier

Yeah, the factory TC really holds these things back.... especially if you don't have much engine in front of it...

If the AODE will stay think better gears and a TC...

I broke my stock convertor quite spectacularly doing a burnout on a cold tranny (baaaaad) - based on other guys running the stock convertors, I don't think they take much abuse, slicks being what I would define as abuse.

my best with a shift kit, flows, o/r h-pipe, cold air kit and 3.73s was a 14.711.

i'd expect mid 14s out of it.
