Custom cam wait time...

FOr those with custom cams....from ED. How long did it take you guyz to get your cams? I have a bad blown rear intake seal which got oil on my clutch and I dunno how long the clutch will hold (its going south already ). I dont wanna take the intake off now and do it again when the cam gets here......

Also, I know paul is gonna reply so...I was looking at promotion and I sopke to Walt. I was just wondering if you went with the McLeod Disc or the promotion one?

Honestly, its been so long (nearly 6 years) since I got my cam that I don't remember.

I have the Pro Motion "K"ustom clutch with the orange pressure plate. It is not the McCleod disc, but my dad runs the McCleod/Promotion setup in his '91GT and it works well.

My cam took 7 biz days from Cam Motion, not the almighty ED though...he quoted me 3mo

Me either, I think it was about 2 weeks.

I don't remember how long mine took, but It wasn't very long at all. Maybe a week after I sent him the money. But I had been talking to him through email for a month or two before I had the cash to order it, so he may have had it ready for me before I paid him.

it took a couple of months here, but I ordered other stuff too. It was more the correspondance before the purchase that took time, once I sent $$$ I got it the following week. I'd imagine this is a busy time of year too...I didnt push too much because its not my daily driver. It'll be worth the wait if you can do so.

Yeah from when i ordered it i think it took about a week for a preliminary cam card to be emailed to me. Then it was another week or so till he got it. I would guess 3 weeks MAX till it was in hand.

Walt from promotion was a great guy to deal with, I highly reccomend him.
I got my cam from C. I. Jay Allen in under 2 weeks.
