I've done this my Fox body with good results, but can it be done on the '02? On the Fox, one coil was worth about 1" lowering and stiffened the front slightly. What about the SN95 body?

I'll be the first to warn you that everyone on here is pretty much going to tell you that it's not a good idea, and that you shouldnt cheap out on your suspension... blah blah.

That's excellent advice, don't get me wrong, but I'm going under the assumption that you are going for a stance change, rather than a complete drop from cutting springs. So when it comes right down to it, in your situation cutting a coil in the front should yield an inch if not a bit more and work just fine.

Funny you should mention this, because I have an 02 with a bit over one coil removed, and no isolators. The ride is a bit more harsh, but it looks a thousand times better. I still managed a 1.6 60 foot with these on worn out drag radials too.

OK! Wife has the same Sonic Blue '02 but with chrome Bullitts. We've been running the 17x9' rims for years now but it has always bothered me that the car sits so high above the rims in the front and would look much better if dropped about a half inch or so. Sounds like a half coil would do it. It almost seems like the rear coils are sagging a bit and throwing off the visual impact that wide rims would normally give.
