i know this isnt the proper way to lower a car, thats not my concern. my question is, the stock spring is a linear rate spring not progressive. i know in a progressive spring, cutting a coil or so off will greatly screw up the spring rate, but what about a linear rate spring? in theory, it shouldnt do anything except lower the over all height of the spring. am i right to think this, or will the spring rate get messed up?
