Joe...I swear I seen that car or motor yesterday at FFW...was a late 80s Fox body running 9s on all motor. it had license plate to boot..I was seated at the end of the track...freakin unbelievable !!!

If I could daydream....I'd have the boys at Kuntz or Bennett build me a sweetass balanced/blueprinted 347...Oilpan to TB...I'd unwrap the mother...drop it in and go...done deal..
Tall deck blocks seem to be the "it" thing these days. They've got me suckered...

You said it right for sure: "If I could daydream." When you start to daydream about car parts, it starts to equal big $$$.

I wouldnt mind a 95 cobra R, with a Saleen Beryillium paint job, with clear corner and diamond headlights, with Deep dish 18 inch Drift R's, with The 5.8 stroked to 7.0 (427  ), then topped with Edelbrock victor heads/intake, a Custom cam, with a Nice Twin turbo setup. The tranny would be sweet to have a paddleshifter transmission like in a ferrari. THEN the important stuff...Add a leather interior, with Air conditioning, and a stereo. Then i'd be set!! Of course i'd have to get my MM suspension setup, i'd hope to run around 150 mph by the end of a quarter mile. I'd want like 4 cats on my exhaust to make it wisper quiet (except for the BOV's) and then have some cutouts welded in right after the headers so i could Run open headers at the flip or a toggle switch. I saw a Nitrous setup on an intake on trucks for their coppertop truck. All its stuff sat under the spider intake so u couldnt tell it had nitrous. I'd be a nice suprise in case i ran into any 427TT Lingenfelter vettes :D. I think i could buy the car for mabey 30 G's, and put in another 30 and i'd have My dream Car for about 60 Grand.

hey joe, how much do you think that beast would come out to???
With the parts I've picked, probably entirely too much...

The block itself is probably a minimum of $3500 and that doesn't include the clean up machine work. The rods are probably another $1000. The crank is probably $1500. Pistons are another $500. Then you have to factor in all the machine work. The Victor heads would probably be another $2000. The Spyer Spyder would be another $700 or so.

I'd say a minimum of 10k in the motor alone, and probably closer to 15,000 bucks.
