I am torn between what to do with my car. The engine does not need a rebuild and runs really strong. So far i have the mods in my sig along with mass air conversion. I am deciding wether to go h/c/i or a kenne bell. This is a STREET car that goes to the track sometimes. Im looking for the low end torque i dont really bring it past 4 grand on the street unless i find it neccesary. Anyone have some suggestions one what to buy for a h/c/i setup that would give me the lowend im not really looking for the high end hps. Thanks for your opinions.

For me it was $$$ that lead the way...With no large ammounts, it is still a kinda slow build up. I would love to have a Kenne Bell. Or build up a nice single turbo setup. I've got to stick to N/A for now, and it's going well. If you have the $$$ to back you up, go F/I! A Kenne Bell with a little 50 shot to cool the charge = !!!

anyone elses opinion

Meh, I went with a good ol' vortech. Im my case, I wanted to be able to strap on to 300HP in a weekend and not have to pull pieces of the motor off. Only way to do that is with a power adder. It's the only real mod I have on the car besides gears and I can already take Lt1's.

In your case, if you are going for a rebuild on the engine anyways, it will be cheaper for you to get the H/C/I and just as easy because the motor will be apart anyways. A good H/C/I combo will get you into the same gains I had with my power adder.

Of course, the fun thing with a blower is, when you get bored.... 30-60 extra horses is just a pully change away :flag:

Being fast NA was cool but if I had to do it all over again with a stock car, I would put a Procharger on it or another blower first.

I agree with Rick, I wish I had just done a blower on the 302 instead of H/C/I combo. Now with the 351 stroker................................different story :rlaugh:

But what about issues with the trans taking the extra power...the block taking the extra boost? what do you guys say about that

Put a nice clutch in, your good to go. Keep the power generally below 500rwhp, put in some kind of support that goes in the lifter valley during the buildup, and don't abuse the car 100% of the time. After the engine mods, begin to save for a tranny, while the t5's usually hold up alright, they are weak.
