My car has 76,000 miles and I have to run on 93 octane with an octane booster, Feels very strong and runs great. With 93 octane and no booster it feels weak and detonates pretty bad. Anybody know what the problem could be? Could it be the miles or the timing? Ford mechanic said I just need high octane gas, but everyone else says theirs runs fine on 87 octane.???
