I was assuming because of the neutral safety switch but i can push the clutch pedal to the floor and it still wont crank. i jumped the grey/red and light blue/ yellow wires together at the trans connector and still no dice. so now what?

edit: i can jump the solenoid and it will fire right up.

you are looking for a red/light green and a white/pink wire to jump. What trans harness do you have?

also the red/grey and blue/yellow wires dont effect cranking. There is two connectors on the clutch switch. the black one is what engages the relay for starting. Auto cars just jumper this since no clutch switch is used.

Factory T-5 harness should still have the jumper in it. But the black plug on the clutch switch has to jumpered when using an Auto trans.

Start signal for the solenoid goes from Ignition Switch to trans harness to NDS switch(if auto), just looped if manual. Then to the clutch switch and on to the starter solenoid.
