so with in maybe the next few months i might put money in the rear end, its a one legger now(clutches are gone) so i was thinking about get something with out clutches but isn't a spool, and it still good for everyday driving. what would you guy out there recomen? and was does exzactly does a rear end gridle do??
is it worth getting??? thx guys

I've blown two Auburn pro units in a customer's car, and then we rebuilt a Lightning Trac-Loc with stacked clutches, and had no more problems...ever. So, if you plan on keeping the 28-spline axles, just rebuild your current diff. However, if you want to step up axle size, go with a Lightning/Explorer unit, and stack an extra clutch on each side.

The girdle keeps the differential main caps from pushing rearward on hard launches. With the mods you have in your sig, probably not worth the money right now.

I think they come with extra clutches, but if not, pick the best clutch or two from your old ones and reuse them.

For the street you don't want a spool, unless you like investing in tires often. It also puts unnecessary stress on axles and bearings when driven on the street.
