I got into another arguement with my cousin. He thinks the Apex springs he took off a totaled GT has different heights for the rear so when the engine torques, the rear-end will track better. I think it's due to the accident the GT suffered that one of the rear springs is shorter. One of our friends borrowed the springs for his fox body and the car drove okay so this lets me know they're still safe at least.

What my cousin says "sort of makes sense" I think? If that's the case wouldn't the shorter spring be on the driver's side? Not that his car has gobs of torque with the stock 5.0 and 14.9 timeslip.

I think that some springs are at different spec rates for certain applications. However, I personally have never seen two different sized springs. Usually they are the same, but one is weaker. Try contacting Apex and find out for sure. Let me know!
