It all depends on what valve covers you have. There are 3 roller 302 stock valve covers out there and they are all different. The stamp steel ones are the worst and will not clear any roller rockers. They are provide the least valve train sound deadening since they are so thin. Next would be the 1985 and I think older aluminum finned valve covers. They are a great looking valve cover and will only clear rollers if you cut out the original oil baffles and stick in something thats closer to the top of the cover. Last would be the plain jane aluminums and they will clear. But on some of them you have to clearance some meat on the corners in the inside of the cover. Not sure which ones you have but I hope that helps.
