Do you guys all get stared at when driving?

NOOOOO i lived in AZ for a few years and most of my family lives their yea its great driving weather but you are always worried about someone stealing your car this is the one time i dont want my 07 stang to turn heads it makes u a bigger and better target. a year ago a buddy of mine almost got his car stolen thank god for the kill switch haha he had about 15k worth of mods and stuff he was able to track his car and found it at 9pm 15miles from the border PROTECT YOUR STANG!

haha...this was a good thread. Actually it was the cops that stared at me more in my fox. Now its everyone else.
Drove my daughter to the bus stop this morning for school (25 degrees out) and the bus driver made a point to find out whose car it was. Got the big grin, nod and thumbs up. Been getting alot of that lately since driving it so much but it just get better gas mileage than my Escape does.

same here, i got pulled over in the fox and both officers keep looking at it and complimenting the paint, gave me a warning and i was on my way. i used to randomly get asked what exhaust i was running or what was done to it. landlord thinks that i have to have a bottle in it lol.

I've had a lot of nice complements on my car. I've also had a few make offers to buy it lol. I think most of the looks I get is because of how loud it is, because honestly most people don't know what kind of car it is.

I've only got one rich boy lax bro in a Grand Cherokee who told me my car sucked. He had his window down, so I put my bumper at his door and went WOT in 1st lol.

i still get compliments on my car even though the PS fender and door are smashed, and my front bumper has a huge hole in it from the missing (and crushed) cobra grill insert that used to be there. it's kind of funny, definitely all-the-more flattering. i guess my car just sounds that gooooooood...

I get a lot of stares too, accompanied by minivan drivers who all of a sudden think they're Vin Diesel.

I always chuckle to myself a little when I see the guys driving minivans full of kids stare at it (or any of my DD's honestly) with that defeated look in their eyes.

I havent really had mine long enough to tell... I drove it home then put it in the shed for winter since it snowed the day I bought it.. But my Dad always threatens that he's going to steal it from me because he likes it so much lol. At school I had a picture of it as my desk top on my computer and had 3 teachers say woah is that a 5.0L??? lol

aw man that's really funny. Seriously that happens a lot to me too. Every once in a while I pull up next to a guy with a few kids who starts revving his van and proceeds to tell me I have a nice car... haha, good stuff for sure...

F'n thread makes me wish it was summer again so bad... we've got like 12" of snow in our yard and 6 months till its nice enough to get the stang out again... lame

One thing I admire about you seasonal guys is you get to experience that "first drive" feeling every year. My '90 sat for 3 months at one point (mechanical problems, didn't have time). The first time I stomped on it that thing felt like a rocket ship. It felt good getting reacquinted with the car and feeling the difference between a highly modified Fox bod vs a relative stocker (my '92). Not that I would ever trade being able to drive year-round but I think that's cool.

:Word: there is nothing like firing her up in the spring, listening to the sweet rumble out of the exhaust, and watching the sun slowly creep over her body as she's backed out of the garage

god dammit, I want it to be spring NOW!!!!

Every once in a while, I put the battery in and fire her up during the winter, let it warm up and blip the throttle a few times... might have to do that tonight

Funniest thing that I think has ever happened while I was in my car was when a couple of little girls covered their ears and crinkled their noses when I drove by in the morning while they were waiting on the school bus. That was priceless.

Oh, and Shaolin, go easy on the n00bie!
