OK so Im really set on the Axis Matrix wheels 20*9 F & 20*10.5. I know they'll fit but what i want to know is the how much rubber i can use. all the online tire and wheel places ive called ( Including Axis) keep tellin me 245 front 275 rear just to be safe. Which means they've never tryed anything bigger. does anyone have these wheels with atleast 255 tread up front and 285 rear (OR larger).
And if so, does it rub at the stock height or can it be dropped w/ the eibach pro kit.

Yes ive done as much research as possible before posting this, so everyone please throw me some feedback. PICS ARE A BIGGER HELP.

whats the offset of your welds. I believe the offset of the axis is 35 front and 38? rear. I think! may be wrong. i ve gone over all the tire/wheel threads on here and see'n what everyone wrote makes me think that id be able to go way larger then 245 f & 275r. But i talked to an actual axis rep that said dont go any larger..........so it threw me off.

I have those wheels on my 06Gt I run 245s on the front and 285/30's on the 20's. I wouldn't run a wider tire unless your putting a 3d carbon body kit on. My car is also lowered 1 1/2 inches, does not rub. Good luck

It will not only depend on the wheel offset but the brand of tire you get. There is not a standard for measurement that tire companies use. Some base their measurements off of sidewall to sidewall, tread block, shoulder to shoulder. I would do some research on the tire you want to use and based on that order the size you want.

What would you not run wider tires? I run 275 in front and 295 in back and they fit perfectly with no Body kit

do you run the axis Matrix rim's? I have the same combo that he was asking about, and the rear offset with the axis rim that is 10.5 inches wide with a 285/30/20 will sit past the wheel lip. If they offered other offsets you could fit a 315/30/20 on there, but they don't. The axis Matrix was made for a Nissan 350Z. If ya like your wheels to sit past your outer wheel lip then go for it, I just think it looks dump.

i agree...285's are a little skinny for a 10.5 width wheel, i don't know if you can see that, the tire is not covering the whole wheel, that tire is stretched!

other than that the wheels are awesome...
