Ok i decided to go with a set of Cast iron GT40's a cobra intake a set of 1.7 roller rockers and use the stock cam....Im going to be converting to MAF and i think the MAF is an 80 mm or maybe its a 70mm not sure...im also using new 24# injs...with a new areomotive fuel pressure regulator...Im also going to be using a powepipe to help up the boost...the car now makes 6 psi...what type of HP should this make...what type of times can i get ...will it be possible for me to get into the 12's with this combo....Also im going to be installing at a later date when money is there...a set of 3.73's and a 2400 stall speed convertor...any advice or info would be great thanks...oh yeah i might need to up the fuel pump too welll i know i have too....lol...so add that to the list also....

if you are upping boost I would pass on the 24s and go for 32s.
I am going to guess that with a good tune you should be in the 350-390whp range

Well im thinking the powerpipe should give me a little more boost ?..im not really doing a pulley im just depending on the powerpipe to make a little more boost thats all..plus the extra stuff like heads intake...should help me no do get some decent HP?

Better h/c/i = more power with less boost = longer life and a bigger grin. Plus you get the added bonus of even more power when you turn the boost up to where you would have it with the stock h/c/i. Every good power adder combo should start with a stout N/A combo.

This is simular to my old set up. But I had GT40P heads tho, with port work and a cam (not sure what size) and i was all motor and ran a best of 12.2 and put down 301/338 at the wheels. peace

Thanks for the info...So should i see a decent improvement with a set of GT40 heads a cobra intake...a set of 1.7 roller rockers and converting to MAF...also of course it does have the blower too....lol...so i would hope it would make some decent HP....and run some good times...of course i know i need gears and a good torque convertor...the car all ready has an radical shift kit installed...so im ahead there plus im removing all the A/C stuff and air pump stuff....and the 4 cats so that should take some weight off too no?....anything to help out with weight on a vert....:D

you really want to reduce weight on a vert remove the vert pump. it's heavy. moving the top by hand really isnt hard without the pump. also go with a tubular front suspension and try to get a set of gt40X heads. they are aluminum castings of the GT40s and they flow better than the irons.
