ok guys im going to run out to pep boys to get what need to do a tune up ddo u guys recommend any certain brand name when it comes to cap rotor, and what kind of plugs and wires should i get ....... how much u think it will cost for all of this and is there anything im missing

i have a cold air intake so do i just clean the filter

Go to www.performancedistributors.com and check out the 5.0 firepower kit. It has everything you need plus a new screamin deamon coil, livewires to handle the bigger spark , dyna mod module with bigger dwell, cap and rotor are all brass connections and comes in colors. I put the kit on my 92 mustang and felt the difference right away. It costs more than pepboys but I got my moneys worth. You can run your plugs with .065 gap with the bigger spark . good luck

I try a Ford dealer, I know McCarville Ford, on L.I. so it doesn't really help you but they have a tune-up package. You can also order from them, they got an ad in 5.0... actually I just checked and of course it's not in this months.. well anyway if you can wait a few days for it their number is 631-588-1800. Sherwood Ford should have it too IDK how close that is to you though.

I just did a really good tune up on my 91 and this is what i did.
Autolite plus- $30 somethin bucks
Wires- $45
Cap & rotor -$20
pcv valve- couple bucks
Fuel Filter - $8
change oil
clean air filter if K&N or replace if not
clean throttle body and MAF
Adjust idle then set TPS to .94-.99v
thats all i can think of right now but thats a pretty good start. good luck man
