Already did a search - Simple electrical problem...

I've been visiting here for years and have been able to find answers and opinions to practically every question via searches, but couldn't find this one...

Car: 1990 GT

Problem: Dome light wont turn off and drains the battery...

Solution: Check the most likely culprits - dimmer switches and pin switches in the door jams...

Question: Until i have a chance to find the problem, can anyone tell me what fuse number powers the dome light, and if it powers anything else more important? I'd like to pull the fuse for the time being to spare the battery, but i can't find my owner's manual and can't find the info in my Hayne's book...

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks...

It's fuse 8 in both an '88 and '93, but you'll lose your other courtesy lamps, radio, power mirrors, dimmer switch, and fuel filler door release. It would be more convenient to just pull the offending light bulb.

Can anyone confirm or deny for me that fuse 8 will kill the dome light in my '90? Or that simply pullling the bulb will do the trick?

Anyone with a '90 got their owner's manual handy?
