Click on your user name in the upper right hand corner:
There you will see a bunch of options running down the left hand side of your screen. The images below are pieces and parts and not to scale but look for these specific things:
Select CONTACT DETAILS on the left hand side. There, in about the middle of the screen, you will see these 4 check boxes. If you want to continue getting emails about your alerts, leave these boxes checked. If you're on SN often enough that the alerts are really all you need, then uncheck these boxes.
