Yep, I was just going to update this post about that.

Now, this was an '05, and I know some '05's had different calipers. So I dunno if they'll work for everyone, but it's promising.

yeah, i forgot how i got the 1600 price, it might of been with drag tires. cause i was originally quoted 450 a back rim, and then i think 320 a front. so 640 and 900. i dunno how i got my math.

dark, i saw that too but i thought it was just the front caliper was different, that the only problem with the back rims were people wanted something wider then 8 inches and tuck a little nicer under the fender.

going toget the tires mounted now. be back in an hour or so.

had some trouble with them today. first my thin wall socket was thin enough and got stuck. when getting that out we put a hole threw the stock lug. so i went out and bought some et style lugs. its again only hitting in one spot, and i cant seem to adjust it to where it stops. so tomorrow i'm going at it with a grinding wheel and just going to town . it may not be needed, but i am tired of messing with these wheels, and if i go to swap them for any reason, and i have to put them back on again its going to be a bitch. so i'm going to grind and paint the calipers tomorrow. i HAVE to get them to work tomorrow, i don't have enough regular lugs to run them. and the ET ones dont work well with the stock wheels.

my backs killing me and i have work in a half hour so i stopped messing with it.

sad, do the front runners at least fit w/ no problem? if so can i see a pic of the front runners on the car?

Yes, the front runners fit with a 3/8" spacer with absolutely no problem.

they do, but they take alot of messing with because of how the wheels fit with the stud. so i am grinding tomorrow and going to use a smaller spacer. i can get away with a 3/8. but i want to run smaller so it fits more flush with the back ones, which i don't think need any kind of spacer. edit just checked i guess they changed the rear and the front calipers. so the rear need a spacer, so i'l order 4 1/4 inch spacers, so i can run a smaller one up front and a small one in the rear so it brings it out more flush with the fender. since judging by the picture it'll be in a little.

i didnt get a chance to throw money in the debit account so i could order them so the earliest i can order them is mon, but i will be ordering rear rims and tires.

stock studs will also work with these wheels, but i am going to use either open lugs or ET style lugs with the shoulder.

pictures tomorrow morning.

The fronts take messing with, with a 3/8" spacer? I thought he said everything bolted right on.

i may not of completely torqued them even at the same time, i was having arough time with it trying to rush to get to work. tomorrow before i grind i'll mess with it more. i got it to work before no problems, but i don't want to have to mess with it this much to put my wheels on.

my jack is crap and i would jack it up and after about 10 minutes the tire would be back on the ground again. 2 ton aluminum racing jack. so tomorrow i'm doing it with my dads jack and a set of jackstands so it shall make it less aggrivating. and i'll use a torque wrench vs my crap 3/8 drive rachet.

it was once again only rubbing in one spot so its definitely user error, but i don't like i have to fiddle with the wheel this much to get it not to hit. where as my stock wheels throw them on bolt em down make sure they are all tight and go.

i'm 100% sure these worked before no problems, because i wanted to make sure before i bought tires and got them mounted. which look awesome btw.

So the rears do NOT fit without modifications? I really doubt it's a matter of you not torqueing them evenly. The 2005s had smaller calipers which the "baby blue" car had ...

the rears may. i have heard they do no problem and i have heard they rub slightly.

i am going to be ordering the rears monday.

before i had the tires mounted i tried the front rims on to make sure they fit,and after messing with how i bolted them on i got them to work no problem what so ever. but the first few tries i tried to bolt them down it would rub in one spot only.

the way the holes for the studs are designed they have way too much play in them, so there is definitely room for error.

so they definitely fit on the front. tomorrow i will try to have my brother hold the rim while i bolt it down, so theres no way it can go on cocked.

the ET style lugs should help prevent that, but they are a tight fit into the wheel so i am having trouble even getting them in the hole.

i definitely like the weld set up for lugs better, but what can i do for 90 bucks a rim. hah

those are ET style lugs if anyones wondering. i actually wish i could find a set of longer ET style lugs, because mine are probably only a 1/4 inch if that for that lip.

Did you put the spacer on? If not, screw grinding away at your caliper when a simple wheel spacer will fix the problems.

yeah, the 3/8 spacer will work. but if the wheels not on center or anything it will rub. kinda wish i went with a hubcentric spacer, but they are a little pricier.

i was gunna grind the caliper just because i wanted the wheels to be easy to throw on. tomorrow i'm going to try without grinding a few tries, and if i get too frustrated with that i'll go at it with the wheel.

i guess its all good because i know the bogarts use a spacer up front too.

after dealing with these wheels so much today i can't wait to get the rears.

for a tire, i'm thinking of going with hoosier quick times. they are about 70 bucks cheaper then the M&Hs each. i'm thinking the white lettering may look pretty bad ass. what do you guys think?

if i had another 1/8th inch, the wheel would be perfect no matter if i threw it on and torqued it any which way. i dont know if i wanna run a half inch spacer though.

You definitely should get a hubcentric spacer. It's very scary to be at the top end of the track and have your car pull when you let off the go pedal. After a night of that, I tore my wheels down and found out I had those stupid rotor tabs from the factory on. After removing those and having my wheels/tires rebalanced, it didn't happen again, but it's downright frightening to have your car pull you towards the other car or the guard rail.

you use hubcentric spacers on yours?

i thought i read something about how the hubs are set up on these cars where you can't run an hubcentric spacer.

wow, if they will work i will definitely have to invest into some. i don't want them to pull like that on a 4" wide wheel at 100+

I don't have any spacers. What I was saying is that a wheel that isn't seated well will get very wobbly. I'm pretty sure a hubcentric spacer should work, since our wheels are hubcentric and aftermarket wheel companies sell hubcentric insert rings to make the wheels sit properly.

7/16th spacer no problems what so ever.

ET style lugs gave me enough thread engaugement for me to feel comfortable.

rears will be ordered with tires monday.

What size tires did you run on the front runners? Also do you know what the weight of the tire or the combo is? Thanks I have ordered the front runners as well, have not ordered tires yet.

i'm running 165/80/15s powerstar kumhos.
i wanted something somewhat streetable, and a good price. 45 bucks a tire vs 120 a tire for drag front runners.

they weigh a little bit more then a drag front tire, but not much.

i am not quite sure what they weigh, i'll try to weigh em tomorrow. they are light though, can carry em with no hassle i'd say it has to be a good 15-20 lbs less then stock.
