Doors Opening Wider

Hey maybe you can look into a shop that can make custom hinges for you. Or order some hinges from a car that open up wider and see if they can be installed on the mustang.

Here are some pics of one of my favorite mustangs. The mustang as well as the pictures belong to Sabraj Najjar.

Hope this helps and by the looks of the second pic, like gdawg said, looks like no door blocking at all.

Not to get off that subject, but that car is beautiful.. What kind of body kit is that? Wheels??

Hey man,

I just wanted to say hi, cause i had a spinal cord injury on c-2, c-3 level. I am termed an incomplete quadrapelegic. It was about 16 months ago. I used to have a Cobra, but had to sell it b/c my right arm is pretty weak and doesn't extend or grip to be able to shift (all cobras are manuals) also, an automatic conversion was way too expensive. My injury, which looked very bad at first, as far as movement was concerned, was incomplete luckily.

I then bought an automatic, and am able to use it fine. I really hated to sell my baby....my first car, but it seriously wasnt totally safe to drive it.

I am a mustang man, to the full!!! My point to this is, that if you like the mustang, then you should fckuing keep it. There is always a way to fab up something. I know of a member who is in a wheelchair, and he owns both a 4.6 stang, and a 94-95 5.0. It can be done for sure.

If I can do any research, let me know, as i started looking around for this type of stuff, not knowing what my outcome would be. I can also try to get in touch of this member, and maybe he could shed some light on this subject.

EDIT: I read your posts again and saw that you found a way for it to be done....i dont know for sure, but maybe there is a way to avoid this extra cost.

I think we may be able to help

Gump,
My name is Steve; I am the CEO of Pure Mustang Performance here in Florida.

I just read your post and think our door system may be able to help you out.
I'd like it if you could take the time to give me a call during the week here at the office. We offer a few different sponsorship programs that are mostly geared towards the show car community but maybe we could work something out with you.
Hope to hear from you,
Steve
