Drag racers check in:Rims for DR's?

Has anybody found cheap rims for the rear with the right offset for our cars? Like the cheap black steelies? And can you put 15's on the rear,without caliper hitting? My low profile tires just aren't cutting it for me at the track

dont know about the cheapies but as far as i know 15's are not an option with the size of the rear brakes.

You need to ask 169Stang which 15" wheels will fit in the back. It can be done.

I still dont know if I am going to move to 15" or get a lightweight 17" and MT Streets. Perhaps this is my birthday present.

I am using 05 V6 16" rims for mine. 255/60/16 M/T ET Streets for tires.

bogart pics I started out with a set of 17x9 anthracite bullit wheels from MRT direct for something like $119 or $129. The first set of tires were some ET street biased, then moved to ET Street radials 275x40-17. It was some time ago. I now have 15" Bogarts. The 15" wheels just opens up the selection of tires. They are somewhat of a custom wheel. I bought them from Justin Burcham at JPC--jpcracing.com. There is a slight modification required for them to fit. What I did was removed the rear swaybar, but the swaybar bracket that is just behind the rear shocks. When you go to mount the wheel, you can see just how much to cut. I cut as much off as possible to make it look clean. Now, since you removed the swaybar, you have created the opportunity for roll in hard cornering or twist at launch-street or strip. The solution...I installed a anti-roll bar from BMR fabrication. They really recommend it for the track only. It's great though. My car runs straight as an arrow. It is a bit noisy sometimes. Typically when I hit a decent bump. I'm going to unhook one side first which will allow it to travel freely. If that doesn't work, I may either unhook both sides-zip tie them up and out of the way or just deal with the occassional noises.
The wheels are beautful D-10 series Bogarts. I bought my front runners from Justin as well and picked up some 28x10.5-15 ET Drag slicks locally. For those that say it's impossible-here ya go!

Um, what front breaks did you use? if 15s arent fitting on the rear breaks for most, they sure as heck wont fit on the front lol...unless those front rims are 16s? My GTs rear breaks for example are small, and I slapped on some 14s with nittor DRs (yea they fit)....it was FAST, had some serious getup and go. They only weigh like 35lbs. My DD bullits are 60ish lbs lol.

I have the stock calipers on the front and rears. The pic is right up there. They are a custom Bogart wheel. 15" They do fit. They dropped almost 60lbs off the car, 38 of that up front.
