I have a 100% Daily Driven 2003 GT, I have the staggered Black Bullitt wheels with 17x10.5s in the rear wrapped in Goodyear F1 GS D3, or something like that, at any rate they are $332 each to replace. I also have a set of 2 of the 16 inch 5 spoke pony rims that came on the 94-98 cars, my question is what should I put on the rears for the best launch when I take it to the Drag strip??? been thinking about drag radials for the 16 inch wheels.

You can't go wrong with a good set of drag radials. A true slick tire may have a slight advantage in traction, but you won't be able to bolt them on and drive to the track or drive home when it's done. You should definately look at mickey thompson for a good drag radial, but be careful because it is easy to put a tire that is too wide on these narrow wheels. You'll probably want something that is no wider than 8-9 inches.

you guys have specs on these tires? sizes and such? new to this part of the Mustang world.

I think the stock rim is like 16x7...

245-50-16 should work right? I am assuming the wider the better as long as they fit on the wheel...

Thanks For the Info so Far Guys!!!

Any links to the Mickeys or other brands? Found the Nittos but would the 555 DRs or the NT-05 be better?

I've had or my friends have had damn near every good tire out there.

If your keeping your car as a daily driver good with 555 extreme DR. But if you wanna see if you know how to drive stick get the 555 extreme no dr. Usually people that can't drive talk crap about nittos or have to my HP for the tire. They will save you a rear end the nitto's.

If your putting down really good power on your car get th M/T drag. We have a supercharged 12psi Zo6 vet making 704rwhp to the wheels and we run 18" M/T drag and there like driving around with slicks on. But we have a built rear end and trans for those tires. We ran 15" m/t drags on our turbo camaro SS and pulled 9.5's with them so not bad. There not as good as slicks but close.

BFG's are good tires but don't last or hook as good M/T's.

Remember any nittos you get you have to heat them up.
