i am putting 4.10's in my 95 5-speed in a couple weeks, and i am thinking about getting some nitto 555r 315/35/17's to use on the street and also at the track. i figured these would be nice, b/c they would get more traction than my 275/40 khumo's and they are one of the longer lasting drag radials. would this be a good idea??? would i get enough traction at the track with having 4.10's??? or should i get bfg's or some kind of slick for more traction????

also, my car is mostly stock and my goal is to run high 13's to low 14's.

last season, i had 3.08 gears with the khumo's and i got no traction and i would average 2.4 60's which were hurting me. i presume that i will have to take first gear very delicate with 4.10's.

No street tire i have ever used can even compare to the traction that the 555Rs have given me. Its like night and day. If you want a tire that you can drive with on the street then go to the track with then that is your answer. If you have an extra set or rims and dont mind switching ur tires at the track then get some E.T. Streets you can go wrong with those.
