I'd like to put some Draglites on my LX.

What's the biggest rear tire that I can go with without fear of rubbing? What size and offset wheels do I need for those tires?

I'd like to go skinny in the front. But not pizza-cutter skinny. What size tire should I go with. What size wheel and offset for those tires?

Post pics if ya got em!

I'm thinking a 255/60/15 in the rear, and something like a 185 or 195/60/15 in the front. Probably a 15x8 in the rear, and a 15x6 in the front.

I'm running 255/60/15s in the back on a 15x7 rim. They are fine on a good flat road but if you park on a hill or around a ditch, there will only be ~ quarter of a inch till it rubs. I have 165s up front, along with the drag launch suspension.

i have 15x10 draglites with 295/50/15s in the back and 165/15/15's in the front

Yep, you can go with the 295-50-15's out back. I've also got them. However, I've also got Air Lift's rear airbag kit to keep the back end from squatting on takeoff and slicing into the tires. They work pretty well.

Here's my tire sizes:

Front: Weld Draglites 15x7 (4.5 inch backspacing) and B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A's (215-60-15's)

Back: Weld Draglites 15x8 (4.5 inch backspacing) and B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A's (295-50-15's)

If you use these sizes, the air bag kit is a must! Also, here's two pic's of mine.

What backspacing do you have on the 15x10's?

well see this is where it gets kinda weird. the 6.5 backspacing hit the inner fender well and the 5.5 stuck out too much, so i got a 5.5 and put a half inch spacer on it and its perfect. I had to use some rebar and kind of "massage" lol the fenders a little bit. didnt take much though

p.s. no pics yet, it looks like hissing cobras but my wheels are 2 inches wider

If you want the rear tires to be 100% under the car, but with maximum tire width you want 275/50R15's on 15x8" wheels with 5.5" backspacing. Quad shocks will have to come off. On convertibles (like mine) the inner fender had to be "messaged" a little and the tolerance was still too tight for my tastes, so I added a 3/16" spacer. Done. With regular radials it never rubs except for sharp, off camber driveways. 95% of the time it's fine. With DR's it rubbed going round corners at highway speed occasionally.

Up front I run a 15x4" wheel. Only comes in 1 backspacing. And I run 165R15 radial tires. The combo looks awesome.
