What's really stupid is that the people doing it are dead serious, but they know when it really comes down to it, it's retarded. I shouldn't say retarded, because that's insulting retarded people. Anyways, when they get caught on thier stupidity, "oh, it's just a joke". What's kind of popular around here, is idiots wearing holloween costumes all year long. They, like the "ghost riders", are just trying to call attention to themselves.
