What have you done for a D/S loop? any pictures of some installs? :D

I've seen the NPD version of their DS loop, pretty cheesey if you ask me.

thanks in advance

Most race tracks require a drive shaft safty loop and even if they don't it's a good idea.

I got mine from Tony Branda - http://www.cobranda.com/GetItemDetail.asp?ItemID=1372&CatID=367&DeptID=2 - good, cheap insurance.

The installation couldn't be easier, no need to even pull the drive shaft, just secure it directly to the seat belt bolts with the included nuts. The Branda piece isn't a full loop however, just a "U". Summit Racing, also sells a full loop.

Thanks for the response, I am hoping for a full loop concept.

Is the seat belt mount location far enough ahead to prevent the shaft from contacting the ground if the front U fails?

Yes, in fact I had a driveshaft failure at Sebring during a 3 hour Enduro race. The rear piece stayed in the loop (did damage the tunnel housing) the forward section came out of the tranny and exited under the car on the drivers side.

The looped served its purpose. It is the Shebly non-loop style that is mounted in the seat belt holes.

Still searching for photo.
